Huckleberry Elias Finn, it is your birthday today. Your fifth one at that.
I know you don't know what that means, but today you'll feel extra loved. We'll slip treats to you throughout the day and take you for a long car ride through the neighborhood. I'll even let you bark at people out the window. :)

There are many, many reasons that Jensey is the blog writing extraordinaire in our business. She's creative, witty, funny, wonderful, fun to read, and does all of those with no fuss or delay. I, on the other hand, aren't many of those things and least of all efficient. So the fact that we drew Jensey's birthday celebration out to two days really works in my favor.
26 years ago today, the love of my life entered the world. :)
Every year, I try to one-up Nate's last birthday with surprise events and gifts, and the truth is, I'm sort of taking the year off. There will be no surprise helicopter rides, parties, elaborate cakes, scavenger hunts... I'm a little burnt out on life at the moment and I'm just looking forward to having a full day off. I took a step back for once and let Nathan plan his own birthday, and it looks like we'll be having a family day at the beach. I really can't think of a better way to celebrate the life of my favorite person than running around with a sandy puppy and picnicking on the beach. :) Yep. Life is good.

I'm baaaack! Now I'm all behind on posts again, so here's a really quick recap of Nathan's birthday last week:
His birthday night started with a surprise scavenger hunt-ish thing around town. :)
When we reached the last location, there was a fabulous cake waiting. (Made by the one and only Leigh!) She's so talented, I can't stand it. I looooooved the cake! If you have a special occasion coming up, let me know and I'll give you her info. Leigh really is the next big thing in the cake world, I just know it. ;)
And his mom threw us a wedding shower!
And now on to MY birthday (St. Patty's Day!).
This was my secret surprise gift that Nathan & Jon built for me, while Lorie was sneaky and took me shopping! :)

I love my husband.
No one makes me laugh as hard and love as deeply as he does. To say he's my best friend and soul mate feels like such an understatement. It's an interesting thing when you live and work with your husband, all under the same roof of your home, and a phenomonal thing when you LOVE every minute of it. There's no one else I'd rather have my life joined with, personally, romantically, or business-relationshipy. With Nathan, what you see is what you get... A dashing, talented man who loves his wife so very much!
Nathanial, I still can't belive you picked me. I promise to work even harder at showing you daily how much you mean to me, and how blessed I am to have you in my life... All the time! As cheesy as it sounds, I love you more every day. You're the coolest guy I know. Giggity giggity. ;)
So my birthday was this past Monday (the 12th) and Jensey made sure it was the absolute best ever! The day started with a custom-ordered Jensey breakfast, and then continued with a surprise adventure to somewhere in Orlando. After driving down I-4 and through some side streets on 192, we come up to a big open field...
...with a helicopter in it!!
This is something I've wanted to do for years. It may seem touristy cheesy (and it is), but it's so cool! I'm generally afraid of heights, but it was a blast flying over Orlando seeing things from a different angle! Here are a few of my favorites.... 
And after the wonderfully fun helicopter ride, I still had another big gift in store! (Did I mention yet how amazing Jensey is?) Jensey went way over the top and got me a digital camera. Now, I know that may not sound like much since we're photographers and all, but I've not had a point&shoot digital since December of 2000. Cameras have come a long way since then and I couldn't be happier with my new Canon Powershot SD750. As you can imagine, our wedding cameras aren't all that great to bring absolutely everywhere. But the Powershot is!! Don't be surprised if you see it our next wedding! ;)
