Kelly & Shawn - Wedding

Kelly booked us more than a year and half before her wedding! We had one of our all time favorite meetings with her... She and I gushed over our wedding plans over peppermint hot chocolate for a good hour or so! Anyway, I knew from the beginning we were the perfect match, and the wedding day proved to be no different!

Kelly and Shawn are amazing, and therefore had no problem seeing each other before the ceremony. With a sunset ceremony, we would have only had about 10 minutes with the couple after the wedding.

We've had SO much luck with our couples being more and more open to the "first look." The day becomes so much more relaxed once photos are done upfront, and Nathan and I are given much more time with the couple, resulting in killer photos like these:

LOVE IT!!!!!
Kelly is one of the most bubbly brides we've had the pleasure of working with, so it was no surprise to see her reception hall splashed with COLOR!
As most of you know, Nathan and I try to take a picture of ourselves in a mirror at every wedding we do. This is one of my favorites so far... :)
More juicy color!
Kelly walking down the aisle..
They were married at a yacht club, which was beyond cool. Kelly, being a catering manager over at Tuscawilla Country Club, was all about the details!

First dance!
The yacht club at night:

Kelly loves her Britney! ;)

I completely forgot to take a picture of our wedding favor.. Kelly and Shawn had a photobooth for their guests to use right off the dance floor! It was awesome, and we had so much fun using it, we're trying to think of an equally cool thing to offer our clients. ;) I'll try to do a post on that later, but since I'm 16 posts behind (yes, 16!!), it might be a while.

Kelly and Shawn, we wish you both the very best. Thanks for everything!!

Celia & Drew - Engagement

Celia and Drew are engaged! We were booked on their wedding date, but were still able to go out for an engagement shoot. :)

Here are some quick favorites from their session:

There was something about Celia that reminded me of a modern-day Kelly from Saved by the Bell. It might be one of those you-had-to-meet-her things, but nonetheless...

This is one of my new favorite hidden spots!

Seriously... How scary is this "no swimming" sign?! I think they mean business.
Rockstars!

We LOVE this next one...

The end. :) Celia & Drew- Thanks for playing for a while, and best of luck with your wedding!!

Kristin & Pippin - Wedding

I know! I've been such a bad blogger, but I can't even tell you how busy we've been! Last week, we had 3 weddings in 3 states- Oregon, Tennessee, and South Carolina! I remembered how much I just love to travel, and can't wait for some of our bigger trips photography will be taking us to later on in the year. :) But really... After a week of packing and re-packing, long plane rides, and me constantly having that "oh-my-gosh-what-did-we-forget-now" feeling, I was beyond ready to come home. One of my favorite things is coming home to Huck Finn after a trip; It always feels like a scene from a Disney movie when we've been reunited! But I digress...

Here are some of my favorites from Kristin & Pippin's wedding day. Kristin was the epitome of a laid-back bride. Even though they didn't see each other before the ceremony, Kristin and Pippin built in more than enough photo time, and we took full advantage of it! This wedding was the perfect kick off of wedding season for us, and we left feeling energized after hugs from the couple. Just one of those perfect "I LOVE MY JOB!" days.

On to the photos!

I LOVED this light in Kristin's hotel room!!
A moment with the maid-of-honor..

My current favorite groomsmen photo!

She was stunning!

Mom & Dad giving Kristin away...

The kiss!
What made this wedding so cool was how close the bridal party was to the bride and groom, and their obvious outpour of love for the couple. It got me choked up to see all the emotion after the ceremony, which was full of giggles, screams of "YOU'RE MARRRRRIED!!!", and one big bridal party toast!

LOVE it!
First dance to Ingrid Michaelson's "The Way I Am," which was beyond sweet.
Then we headed out to take full advantage of the whole sunset-on-the-beach thing.
This is why we do what we do!

Kristin & Pippin, you guys are some of the coolest people we've ever known. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything, and we can't wait to see you again!!
