Jessie & Rob

You might recognize Jessie & Rob from their engagement session back in November. They got married at Harvard's Country Club here in Longwood, which was beautiful for pictures after the ceremony! Pictures were a big priority for them, so we were given about 45 minutes to just walk around and see what we could get. We got some great shots right at sunset!

One of our favorite parts of the day was meeting their three-legged miniture poodle, Flea. She gets around just as well as any other dog and was so well behaved while her 'Mom' got ready for the day! My other favorite thing? Jessie's ruby red slippers!
Congratulations, you guys, and we can't wait to see you again soon! :)

April & Josh - 2

This wedding felt like it was straight out of a Disney movie!! April and Josh got married at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia, LA (about 3 hours from New Orleans). It was an elopement/destination wedding, because even though there were no guests, their families and friends knew about it. Nate and I were the only guests that day, and not only did we shoot the wedding, but I helped button the back of April's dress, signed the marriage certificate, and caught the bouquet! :) This was the only wedding that's ever made me cry; it was the most intimate, romantic event I've ever seen. Rip Van Winkle Gardens was just awesome.. We were able to take the couple to a Japanese tea house, a dock, field of daffodils, and bamboo tunnel.

The best thing about their wedding was that because there weren't group photos or a reception to rush off to, we were given unlimited time with the couple. It made all the difference, and the pictures really show it! Our deepest congratulations to April and Josh... It was an honor!

April & Josh - 1

April and I went to highschool together in Tennessee; She now lives in Louisianna, and me, of course, in Florida. Lately I've been posting some of our work on Facebook.com, and that's how she found us. :) April and Josh planned their elopement wedding in just three weeks, and when she asked us to come to New Orleans to capture it, we were so there! Because the wedding was so close, we decided to do the engagement session the day before the wedding. We started at Pirate's Alley in the French Quarter, and ended at Audubon Park in the Garden District. It was about 40 degrees outside and April was absolutely freezing, but you'd never know it from the pictures!

Check back in later for my favorite shots from their wedding!!

New Orleans

Nate and I just got back from an incredible trip to New Orleans! Between seeing old friends, and engagement shoot, touring around, eating like pigs, and shooting a wedding, three days really wasn't enough! We stayed in a great hotel, the International House. It was centrally located in the city, just a few blocks from the French Quarter and Riverside. From the moment we checked in, the staff really rolled out the red carpet for us! You can't beat the price right now, so if you're looking for a weekend getaway, New Orleans is ready for visitors again. :)

While we were there, I was able to see Liz, my old roommate (pictured bottom right). Liz worked across the street from our hotel and was able to meet us for beignets. We also met up with a friend of mine from high school who writes me often. It was so nice to catch up with two of my favorite people, and I can't wait to see them at our wedding in December! Check back later in the week to see our update on April and Josh's engagement shoot and wedding!

Teresa & Josh

Teresa and Josh have such addictive personalities! I can't help but smile when talking with Teresa, who might as well be Kristen Chenoweth's twin!

We met with Teresa and Josh at Disney's Grand Floridian, where we played with some new spots, and the Polynesian Resort next door. These guys are getting married this June, and I have no doubt it'll just be fabulous.
