Meet Charlie and Kristin, my brother and his gorgeous bride. They met when Charlie was an airline pilot and she was his flight attendant. I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't get much cuter than that! We flew to Salem, Oregon (Kristin's hometown) for their wedding. Here are some of my favorites from our 15 minute engagement session with them the day before the wedding!

I should start by saying my brother and I aren't close. In fact, before his wedding, I hadn't seen him in a couple years. I met Kristin via email once they got engaged, and since then, I've had more conversations with my brother than I did when we lived under the same roof.

I pretty much bullied them into letting us shoot their wedding, and luckily, we did a pretty good job. Not only did we get some kick-ass portfolio images, but I was given the chance to reconnect with my brother. I'm beyond grateful for photography and my new sister.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, so let's begin, shall we?

My brother's wedding, part two!

The reception was held at Willamette Valley Vinyards... Gorgeous!

Instead of a DJ, they had a string trio play... It was so classy!

Charlie and Kristin got married on my Dad's birthday, so instead of the traditional groom's cake, they surprised him with a birthday cake. (My Dad's a pilot.. As is my brother and half of the wedding guests, so this was beyond perfect!)

This is Chris giving the best man speech. He started talking about how Kristin knew what she was getting into from the first date when Charlie turned to her after an hour and said, "Well, that's enough about me. Let's talk about airplanes."

None of the guests had any idea they would be doing a through-the-years slideshow, and I think I had tears streaming down my face through the whole thing.
