Jenny & Steve

You might remember Jennifer and Steve from their awesome engagement session at the Grand Floridian! Jenny is one of the most genuinely beautiful people I've ever met - Inside and out. Her parents were so warm towards us all day and really let us feel like we were family!

They had their ceremony at Leu Gardens, and the reception in their church ballroom. They were both so laid back the whole day; It really made shooting a pleasure! Anyway... I had way too many favorites to pick from, so enjoy a bunch from Jennifer & Steve's wedding day!

Kolby 'Cheese' & Andrew!

I've known Kolby since we were this little:

I spent countless weekends camping, fishing, and four-wheeler riding with her family growing up! Kolby and I were best friends at first sight when we met during our older brothers' Boy Scouts meeting shortly after my family moved to Tennessee. She was my very first friend. The Boy Scouts would meet once a week at Germantown Presbytarian Church, which meant that Kolby and I were given the run of the place while our Moms were busy helping with the meeting. We spent most of the time sneaking downstairs to the pre-school rooms and rummaging through their stuff. While our friends were playing school at their homes, we were doing it in an actual classroom! Looking back now, I can't imagine what the teacher's reaction was the next morning seeing her pens put back a little differently, or maybe a 'lesson' we didn't have time to erase before rushing back to the meeting before my mom came to find us.

Kolby got married in that church last December to her beau, Andrew. It had been 5 years since we've seen each other, but it felt like I never left! Kolby wanted Nate and I to take pictures of her and Andrew in their wedding garb in the chapel, since we were unable to attend the wedding. Afterwards, we were planning on taking them to a local park, but when it started to rain, we hung around the church a bit more. It didn't take long before she and I were racing down the stairs to the pre-school classroom! Sadly enough, it's now become a storage area for the building, but the brightly painted walls were still there. Who would have thought almost 20 years later that we'd be back in that room with our husbands (ok, my almost husband!), and taking pictures there?

Anyway.. Here are some of my favorites that Nate and I got. I still can't believe the freckle-faced tomboy I spent most of my childhood with has turned into one of the most beautiful women I've ever known! Kolby Cheese, it was truly a pleasure.. I can't wait to see you again in December!! All our love to you and Andrew! :)

Brooke & Chris

Brooke has this way of making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.. A week after her wedding, she wrote us the sweetest thank you email.. The first that's ever made me cry!

My favorite, favorite thing though- Last Monday, Brooke and Chris sent us a 'Wedding Planning Survival Package' for OUR wedding planning! They included everything from Hi-Liters and Post-It Notes to gift cards to iTunes (For possible first dance selections, of course), and a Darden Restaurant. They included a checklist with reasons for everything in the box. It was the sweetest, most thoughtful gift we've gotten since our engagement, and completely unexpected! Unfortunately, I've only had time to make use of the Tylenol, but we look forward to using the other trinkets. :)

Brooke and Chris, you guys were awesome, and we wish you the very best of luck!

Sarah & Dan

Sarah and her Mom worked incredibly hard on making every detail imaginable flow on her wedding day. From the invitations and programs, to her dress, to the bows on the bubbles for the end of the night.. Everything was pink! It was such a pretty wedding, and I was totally taking mental notes throught the night! :)

Sarah really looked like a princess.. She glowed all day from start to finish, despite some bad luck from one of the vendors.. All in all, it was a nice wedding to have on my birthday!

Cailey & Hal

We're baaaack! Nathan and I just spent the last week in Las Vegas, for the WPPI conference at the Paris Hotel! We had such a good time.. Our friend Brian shot our engagement pictures, so now I feel like I'm getting married again. :) (Thank you again, Brian!) I had my hair and make up done at the hotel salon, so I really felt like a rockstar.. The margarita didn't hurt, either. :) I love being behind the camera, but when it comes to being in front of it, I completely freak out. Go figure!

I'm so behind on blog posts, it's not even funny! These are some of our favorite shots from our first wedding of the month, Cailey and Hal. They got married at the beautiful Cypress Grove Park. If you're location hunting, you should really check it out! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too nice to us that day, so the reception was held under a tent outside. Everyone still had a wonderful time, of course, and Cailey looked absolutely stunning!! Congratulations to you both, and I hope you loved San Francisco as much as I do! :)
