Jillian : Family Session

Adam and Jenn have been a huge part of our Root Photography history. :) They were the first "official" booking we made (or, I should say Nathan made at that time) as they were a referral through his very first wedding, the only one I didn't shoot with him! Their engagement session was the first session I ever came along on as Nathan's assistant, and it was that session that made us realize I had a knack for this photography thing! We never shot apart after that, so I will always hold a soft spot for these two.

After shooting their wedding, we became friends and kept in touch, and we even lived in a couple of their rental properties after a while. They were one of the first of our clients to have a baby, and we've really enjoyed watching little Jillian grow up. She is every bit her parents' child, with Jenn's good looks and Adam's affinity to Apple products. ;) I was so excited to meet up with these guys, and we were able to do their would-have-been-rained-out session at the Gaylord Palms, instead. :)

Pretty sure families don't get better looking than this!

Jarah & Jay - Wedding

Nathan and I were able to second shoot for Brian Adams at the Gaylord Palms last month! It was so much fun because I've never shot with anyone but Nathan before. I loooooved 2nd shooting; I just got to hang out with two of my favorite boys all day!

This flower girl was so cute, she belonged in a Pottery Barn Kids magazine or something. Look at those perfect puppy-dog eyes! My goodness. Nathan shot from the front of the ceremony, and got some killer stuff, including the flower girl doing her job... And this one of Jarah. I love it!

Sometimes I don't know if I like the bride's shoes or the flower girl's better...First dance love!

4 mischevious kids + 1 very expensive cake = trouble!

I love that they had a kids' table with tons of candy and coloring books! I think Nathan and I secretly hoped it was for us... The candy for him, coloring books for me. I would have done SUCH a better job!

Marielys & Anthony - Wedding

Mari and Anthony got married at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL. It was the first time I'd ever been to the hotel, but Nathan and I are really looking forward to some possible engagement shoots there in the future!!

Marielys made a gorgeous bride, and both she and Anthony were on cloud 9 all day! They got married in the St. Augustine Fort near the center of the hotel. I just loved how her pink and orange roses popped in front of the gray backdrop the fort provided.

Congratulations, you guys!!! Can't wait to see you again soon. :)
