Yet another photo-heavy post. :)
So, some of you may remember that for the past year or so, we'd occasionally have my friend Lorie come along as our assistant at weddings. It was a good run, but Lorie had to go and get a real job, which left us assistant-less. Enter my charming, beautiful, (and somehow still single!) little sister, Amelia.
(I can post that photo since she's family. Love it!) But seriously, I can't think of a better first wedding for her to be a part of; Beautiful, happy, oh-so-in-love couple, bridal party that paid attention to us, nice families, other Root couples in attendance, reception at Casa Feliz, aka our what-would-have-been wedding reception location before we ran off and eloped all romantic like.. :)

This is when the wedding day was at it's peak craziness... Stacy ran in with the bridesmaids, threw on her dress (well, laced it, I guess) and the ceremony started right away.

I love, love, LOVE this shot. Jamie, who got married a few weeks after Stacy, was a bridesmaid and took pictures of us shooting Stacy. We never get shots of both of us at work, so this was a happy surprise when she emailed it to us! :)

So, uh, just so you know... There are a lot of photos in this post!
Every now and then a couple comes along that we just magically click with. Not just on a photographic standpoint, but in the 'oh my gosh, how have we lived in the same city and never met eachother' sort of way. You know. Carrie and Dan were such a couple, and from the moment we met them in Starbucks for the first time and Carrie mentioned she, too, has an unhealthy obsession with the Christmas holiday, well... It was love at first sight.
I was SO thrilled when we got the email that they wanted us for their wedding day, and I was looking forward to it ever since. :)

I think Dan was still laughing at the memory of me telling him to "stand more like a man" on their engagement session. I promise I'm typically nice to our grooms! ;)
Their first dance was a fancy ballroom dance that I could never do with a million years of practice. They glided across the floor like pros without that look of deep thought and even held a complete conversation. It was pretty much amazing.
They even let us take them out again for photos during the reception before sunset.

So, with this blog, I really do try to post a lot. I like getting every wedding up there, and most engagement shoots. Every now and again, I won't post a shoot if we've done a billion in one location in a short amount of time, or if I just plain forget to add them to my list. I treat this blog very loosely- I don't post chronologically, and I don't post everything. If I see a couple's name on my list and I know they'll be a quick post on a busy day, I'll maybe do them first, or if I suddenly remember a bunch of details from someone else's wedding day, maybe I'll do them.
Maybe that makes me a bad blogger, but if I had to be stressed out with rules like that, this blog would become homework, not a personal photo journal.
It doesn't mean that I like some couples more or less, it just means that I'm Jensey. :)
Anyway, it wasn't until I was about to post a preview of Paige & Matthew's wedding day that I realized I forgot to post their engagement session! *slaps face.*
I would have said for this photo that I'm sure Paige was going to make a gorgeous bride, but now I can officially say that Paige was a gooooooooorgeous bride!

We just finished our 5th wedding of the week, and now we're wedding-free for 2 weeks. Now comes the editing. I know it's weird, but I love crunch time in the office. I'm genuinely looking forward to going through the 20,000+ images our little fingers triggered this week and pumping out as many slideshows, blog posts, and album designs as possible. :)
