Carrie & Patrick : Anniversary!

More brides have come referred to us by Carrie & Patrick than any other couple! Just off the top of my head, Carrie has brought us Justin & Lu, Erin & Steve, Jenn & Rob, Sara-Jayne & Gavin, Carly & Kyle, Marcy & Mert, Stacy & Ryan, Angela & Al, Cynthia & Shane, Renee & Shane, Lana & Michael, Ashley & Jeremy, Jackie & Jeff, Sarah & Jeff, Misty & Stephen, Heidi & Tom, Erin & Steve, and Christin & Ryan! I know I'm missing people in there, so please don't be offended if I'm being forgetful! I'm a little shocked I was able to remember that many. :) As pleased as I am for all the attention, I'm even more happy to have found such a great friend in Carrie.

Carrie and Patrick recently came down for their one-year anniversary, and Carrie had a day of surprises planned for Patrick. All day they did things reminiscent of their wedding day last year. Because I'm a bad friend, I only remember a few things: Carrie planned a segway tour through Epcot where they rode through Morrocco, their ceremony location, just about the same time they got married. Then was breakfast at the Boardwalk, the hotel that held their wedding reception. Her event coordinator surprised them with a private breakfast in The Attic, complete with Mickey Waffles, their wedding's main course. The final surprise was dinner at the Rose and Crown with a private dessert party to follow, right next to where their wedding day dessert party was.

... And here Nathan and I just had pizza and played video games on our 1st anniversary!!

This was their personalized menu from the Rose and Crown. Good job, Disney!
I think Patrick was surprised. :)
Because Carrie is that good, she even had Disney make a replica of the top tier of their wedding cake!
Some of their assorted desserts:
Here's their private patio!

Some firework magic!

My favorite. I can feel my allergies starting up again just looking at that smoke!

I'm posting this now in honor of Carrie's solo trip out here this weekend! I'm so excited for her visit, I can hardly stand it! Patrick, you'll be missed, but I promise to take good care of her. :)

Ashley & Mark : Preview

Just a few favorites from Ashley & Mark's New Orleans wedding last week. :)

You can't go wrong with a gorgeous bride and a location like this!
Umm... I can officially say, photographers, that our 5D MarkIIs saved our butts at this wedding!

More to come soon! :)

Ashley & Mark : Engagement

Ashley found us online and asked us to travel and shoot her New Orleans wedding!

Ironically enough, she contacted us last year as we were leaving New Orleans after shooting Kari & Wes' engagement and bridal sessions, as well as April & Josh's maternity session! Of course we jumped at the chance and were excited to meet her a year later. :)

Ashley is probably the calmest bride ever. I can honestly say this, because there were so many things going wrong when we met them the day before her wedding, and she was still all smiles and laughing it off. :) We had planned to do both Ashley and Mark's engagement shoot and Huxley's baby shoot in the French Quarter, which we thought would be relatively empty on a Friday morning. Little did we know, until we got there, that it was French Quarter Fest and the streets were not only shut down, but packed with people! We ended up changing our meeting location closer towards downtown and played in some alleyways.

On Ashley and Mark's way to meet us from Baton Rouge, I believe they had a bird crash into their window, which caused Ashley to burst into tears. If that wasn't enough, when they got to New Orleans, they had to hunt for a parking spot and in the meantime, got sideswiped by a truck. The guy didn't stop, so Mark actually followed him and then had to stop to fill out a police report. Just as we were about to finally meet them and start shooting, Ashley had a wardrobe malfunction and had to run and buy some new shoes! I think any other bride would have had a meltdown right then and there, but she remained calm. :) She had a huge list of last minute things to do before the wedding, and despite all the setbacks, we were happy for the 30 minutes we had to see them. :)

Oh, and I forgot to mention how crazy windy it was!
:)

My favorite!!
Who hasn't felt this way the day before their wedding??
It was about this time when Mark received a call saying his grandparents were waiting on his doorstep. In Baton Rouge. We wrapped things up pretty quickly after that. :)
I can't explain why, but this is my 2nd favorite from the session. :)

Ashley is adorable. :)

Off to bed, friends! Tomorrow's wedding starts at *cough* 6:30am *cough.*

Courtney & Craig : Engagement

Yay! Here's the 2nd engagement we shot in Celebration in the last month. :) I love shooting here. I mean, the bright colors and safe, pretty backgrounds are nice and all, but being able to walk one block to meet our couples and start shooting is priceless!

I think Craig sorta has a John Mayer/ Charlie from the Mighty Ducks thing going on here. (I guess the better reference is Pacey from Dawson's Creek?)

FAVORITE! :)
Courtney, you are just lovely!

Love this. :)

Yay! See you guys next week! :)
