Loni & John : Wedding

Loni and John's Valentines Day wedding was coordinated by Tracy Marini of Eventfully Yours. With Tracy leading an event, it pretty much guarantees a smooth wedding day for the bride, and tons of laughs for me and Nathan. :)

The wedding took place at the Grand Bohemian, where the staff is just as nice as the venue.

The mirror Loni used to get ready was the same one her Mom and Grandmother used on their respective wedding days. So cool! You can see their photos in the lower left. :)

Loni was one of the sweetest, most easy going brides to date!

More fabulous details, thanks to Eventfully Yours. Being Valentine's Day, their wedding colors were pink and red, of course.

About to come down the aisle with Dad...
I love the Grand Bohemian's elaborate tent on the pool deck!

I love when Nathan grabs the 'twinkly light' shots, as I call them. :)

Loni and her brother shared a sweet dance to "Stand by Me."

Gotta love packed dance floors!

Last dance love.
Loni saying goodnight to her new step daughter. :)
Loni & John- Thank you guys so very much for letting us spend the day with you. :)

I'm in love with this bride!

More to come soooooon! :)

Justine & Roger : Engagement

We met Justine and Roger in Winter Park for their engagement shoot. :) I don't know if you all remember, but a while ago, we took a break from Park Avenue shoots, and it really was the best thing we could have done! It's so nice to come back and see the place with fresh eyes again.

So cute! :)

Favorite!

Yay! We'll see you guys soon!

I love this one of Erin working the Mears bus! ;)
My favorite so far...

Happy Birthday, Love!

There are many, many reasons that Jensey is the blog writing extraordinaire in our business. She's creative, witty, funny, wonderful, fun to read, and does all of those with no fuss or delay.  I, on the other hand, aren't many of those things and least of all efficient. So the fact that we drew Jensey's birthday celebration out to two days really works in my favor.

I'm not actually late writing this post, I'm just doing it on the second half of her birthday!  And if anyone deserves two days worth of time off and birthday fun, it's Jensey.  She works so incredibly hard at this job that it's really something special to just spend the day with her....it feels good just to be out and about with her, especially when she's riding shopping carts in the warehouse aisles at IKEA. ;) (Photos coming at Jensey's discretion, of course.)

I'm already floundering at what else to write here. I honestly just want to hit the Publish Post button and run back to her on the couch. It's a lot more fun hanging out in there next to my favorite person in the world than it is sitting here. And with that said, I'm going to do just that!

Naturally, a photo or two must be included!  This first one, well, it's just how I feel. :) And the last one, because it's hottttt and makes me happy!

Happy Birthday, Beautiful!  Let's spend some more time together doing nothing.

Everett : Portrait

None of my friends have really had kids... Up until now. :)

Sarah Bess was my first Florida friend when I moved here, and we were both working in Fantasyland attractions on the Disney World College Program. We quickly fell in love with eachother- Sarah has the most infectious laugh ever, and she's one of those people that can bring anyone from feeling rock-bottom to the top of the world in two minutes flat. She's super pretty and funny and nice. For a while I honestly thought we'd both move to St. Augustine and be roommates in some artsy fartsy apartment above a vintage clothing shop. Sarah would would paint all day and I'd write novels and we'd have a cat named Italics, and we'd ride matching black bicycles with baskets on the front. That's how serious we were about each other. ;)

Sarah had to grow up and move home to Indiana, and I was absolutely crushed when she left. She really was my sunshine and I still miss her so very much. When Nathan and I visited his family in Indiana after the holidays, I'd be lying if I didn't say I was most looking forward to catching up with my old friend. :) This time was slightly different, however, because Sarah brought along the newest man in her life- Her ridiculously adorable son, Everett...

... Who happened to bring us presents and graciously helped us open. Everett chose pink heart socks for me, and for Nathan, the condensed version of this.

Love this. :)

Sarah Bess and Everett met us at the airport, and then we pressured them into letting us do a mini-photoshoot. :)
I have no idea. :)
So, there really isn't anything much to play with near the Indianapolis Airport, which was recently re-built, so we actually took these following photos in the empty parking garage of the old Indianapolis Airport. :)
I just want to take a minute to say if I'm even 1/10th of a mother to our someday kids that Sarah is to Everett, I'll be happy. She really is the best Mom I've ever seen, and I got all teary just watching them interact. On the way to our shoot, she'd start asking him, "Everett, are we going on an ADVENTURE?" and throughout our time together, "Ev, is this the best day of your life?" I know it's cheesy, but I'm just so darn proud of her. :)

He really is the cutest thing alive.

Seriously...

Aaaaaand this is the moment my maternal clock burst into flames. ;)

Sarah, in a total impromptu "Mom" moment, making a game out of nothing. :)
Ta-da!
Mmmmmmm.

Have I mentioned how much I love him?!

I love this next series... Sarah puts her glasses on Ev...

... He tosses them down the stairs. :)

Sarah had him looking for bunnies in the bushes. :)

Soon it was back to the airport for goodbyes. :(

Sarah Bess and Everett, you guys are welcome in our home anytime. Come visit Disney World soon, ok? Love you both to the moon. :)

Heidi & Tom : Wedding

Remember these crazy kids? Heidi and Tom were married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion earlier this year. Heidi's wedding blew me away, considering she planned it all the way from Germany. Talk about a destination wedding! Considering they both fly helicopters for the Army, I'm sure Disney World was just the break they needed.

Heidi's flowers were divine, and fit perfect with the elegant Grand Floridian. :)
Love unique shoes!

The ponies cheesin' it up for the camera! Don't let them fool you with their cute size... These guys can be monsters!
Headin' down the aisle with Dad...

They had a Majordomo and all.

One of my favorite things about Disney weddings are the rose petal tosses. :)

Make sure you check out the larger version of this one. ;)

Such a sweet couple.

I looooooove that they had the Dapper Dans as entertainment for their guests!

First dance to a live jazz band playing "Pennies from Heaven," one of Nathan and my favorites.

We've seen these guys at more weddings than anyone else! They do tend to get right up there during the important moments.
See? ;)

Favorite.

Heidi and Tom, congrats and best wishes! Yay! :)

Happy Birthday, Love.

26 years ago today, the love of my life entered the world. :)

Every year, I try to one-up Nate's last birthday with surprise events and gifts, and the truth is, I'm sort of taking the year off. There will be no surprise helicopter rides, parties, elaborate cakes, scavenger hunts... I'm a little burnt out on life at the moment and I'm just looking forward to having a full day off. I took a step back for once and let Nathan plan his own birthday, and it looks like we'll be having a family day at the beach. I really can't think of a better way to celebrate the life of my favorite person than running around with a sandy puppy and picnicking on the beach. :) Yep. Life is good.

Nathanial, I love you. Happy birthday, Darling.

Return 2 Zero : New Beginnings

Yesterday I posted about how Four for a Dollar completed their run with Disney, so today I'm excited to share their next venture. Return 2 Zero is the official name of the group outside of Disney, and they can be hired out for any event.

Sammy called me over the holidays to let me know about the new branding of Return 2 Zero. They're now using the catchy slogan, "We're in it for your surprise," which means exactly how it sounds. To quote straight from their website, "Dressed as waiters, janitors, corporate attendees, or anything you can think of, Return 2 Zero can create a perfect 'gotcha' moment for any event. And they’ve also got the perfect song to get your audience laughing, cheering, and clapping along."

Not to put too many ideas in your heads, but what a cool wedding idea for your guests, right?!

Anyway, when we were asked to shoot their new promo material, I'm pretty sure I was giddy with excitement. I mean, other than John Mayer showing up on my doorstep and asking the same thing, how often do you get to shoot your favorite music group? After the cool factor wore off we got pretty darn nervous considering shooting a group was a first for us!

We started out in a hotel kitchen with the guys dressed up as chefs, and we got a private concert in the meantime...

Costume change to waiters...

... And then corporate event attendees. :)

Then we drug them downtown to one of our favorite spots. I'm pretty sure they thought we were crazy, but this was my favorite part of the day. :)

:)

Had to get a group shot with my guys! :)
Seriously, go book them for your next event. You know you want to. ;)

Not having an event or getting married anytime soon? Buy a cd!!! I recommend ALL of them, but "4" and "Snowfall" are probably my favorites. And "Return 2 Zero" when I feel like going vintage R2Z. ;)

Four for a Dollar : Final Bow

For years and years and years, Four for a Dollar charmed the ears off guests at Disney World's MGM (Now Hollywood) Studios. I grew up with this group, and would beg my mom to stay for just "one more show" when we'd vacation here throughout the year. Four for a Dollar was the pre-show to Beauty and the Beast, though most people I know would just go to hear the guys and then leave. :) Their show would start with one of the guys dressed as a maintenence man, come out and check the mics. Eventually they're all out there singing a 3 song set before heading off the stage. :) This quickly became my most favorite thing to see in the park, and no one was more shocked than I was (well, other than them, I suppose) to hear Disney had decided to end their relationship with this phenomenal group of men.

What once was a group of strangers to me and an easy way to waste an afternoon had turned into something much greater... One particular member of the group had become one of my dearest friends and forever changed my life. You see, Sammy has such an incredible love for God that it's impossible not to catch it just by being around him. Since joining the group, he's created a very successful church here in Orlando, and I'm proud just to know him. :)
This is Marshall, whose stage presence never failed to make me laugh!
And Doug, one of the most talented people I've ever come in contact with. :) I really think he's the soul of the group, and no one can take his place.
I wasn't able to make the official final show because of a wedding, but I did show up the last show of the day before to take a few shots of them at work.

This is Andrew hitting keys most women can't. :) He was my first friend of the group, and I'll forever be grateful.
This show was my safe place when I first moved here, and the park has such a funny feel to me without it.
Final Bow.
Even though their Disney chapter has finished, I really do think this group is meant for so much more, and I'm so excited to keep on being their #1 fan. :)

Charli & Lola : Family

One of the best things about going to Ohio for Michelle and Mike's reception was that it gave us the chance to catch up with one of our most memorable Root couples, Lindsey and Eric. :) I literally get a case of warm fuzzies when I think of these guys, and this time, we were introduced to the loves of their life, Charli and Lola. *Swoooooooon!*
These guys were bursting with personality, and I'm convinced Huck would be in love!

Costume change time!
I believe this is Charli as candy corn. :)
Nathan shooting Lola in her "sexy witch" costume, as Lindsey told us.

Family portrait time. :)

Precious. :)

The best thing about Lindsey and Eric's home was that it was COVERED in our photos from their wedding! From goooooorgeous canvas prints on the wall, to photos in the bathroom, on shelves, up the staircase, our work was everywhere and we were in love! The highlight of the day was when Lindsey said when she ran out of wall space, her mom had a throw made of one of their favorite photos! This is her rockin' the finished product-
Lindsey, I adore you, and wish you guys lived closer! I know I'm not supposed to have favorites, but well, you know how we feel about you. :) Can't wait until our next visit!!!!!!!!

Michelle & Mike : Ohio Reception

Michelle and Mike were married last year here in Florida, and this January, we were able to attend their second wedding reception in Ohio! We absolutely loved being able to document all their festivities, and we also loved being able to visit snow! :)

Michelle put her wedding dress on again and looked just as stunning as before!

Their reception was held at The Pufferbelly in downtown Kent, which was an old train depot that was converted into a restaurant. So cool!

One of my favorites. :)
I think this was the moment when Nathan fell in love with the 17-40mm lens. ;)

Michelle was such a trooper- She had to traipse through so much snow in that gown to get these shots down by the river, but it was totally worth it!
Totally my favorite.

Seriously, this venue was just adorable!

Yes, that's a carriage suspended from the ceiling. :)

Proof of the snow!

Gotta do our token mirror shot...

Such a stud! ;)

Yes, that's my husband taking a shot with the bride and groom! One of the perks of shooting the wedding of someone you've known since middle school. :)

Michelle and Mike, we had SUCH a great time working with y'all! :)

Carrie & Dan : Preview

Today made me fall in love with first looks all over again.

We love you guys!
