Bethany & Adam : Wedding

One of our first weddings of 2009 was Bethany and Adam's! Such a great couple to kick off the year, and they were married on Anna Maria Island (Or AMI as the kids say these days according to my sister) at the Sandbar. You should all remember Bethany and Adam from their super cute library engagement session!

Hello, gorgeous!

*Cue my rant for the importance of first-looks here.*

See, Mom? I can look normal in pictures!
... Or not. :)

Nathan shot this gorgeous photo of me through plastic. I think I was pretending to be a fish?

I don't really know why but we were shoot-happy for eachother on their wedding day. But seriously, folks, how handsome is my husband?!

You'd think I'd have crazy buff arms by now after shooting so many weddings.

Married!

Gotcha!
I think this is my favorite.

First dance to "So Close" from Enchanted. :)

You just can't beat sunsets on the west coast.

Bethany is one of the sweetest people ever- She read on my Twitter account a few months ago that I had a hard time finding handwarmers in Orlando, and she gave us a whole gift bag full! They've come in handy so much (especially on their wedding day!) and I feel fully prepared for our next winter vacation. :)

The end! Bethany and Adam, thank you so much for letting us into your lives! :)

Christin & Ryan : Engagement

I just wanted to post a few favorites from Christin & Ryan's engagement shoot we shot around our home in Celebration. :)

Christin is one of our gorgeous Disney brides, and I love that she wore the dress she got engaged in for these photos. :)

If I remember right, Christin was trying to get Ryan to make his elephant sound, which he didn't, but I'm holding out hope for the wedding day. ;)

Nate was totally in a tree to get this shot!
Favorite. :)
Christin & Ryan, we can't wait to see you this May!!

Fake Album Covers!

How to make your fake album cover:

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.

Here's mine:

And Nathan's:

Do it! You know you want to. ;)

Andrea & Brian : Engagement

We shot Andrea & Brian's engagement a few months ago in Winter Park. Andrea's wardrobe was so classy and she fit in so well with the Park Avenue backdrop!
I've been to this spot so many times, but never even noticed the plants on the roof until I saw Nathan's shot-

Not our typical post-processing style, but I still like it. :)

Hello, gorgeous!

The end! See y'all in 2 weeks! :)

Emille & Nick : Wedding

Emille and Nick.. Where do I even start talking about this wedding? Emille found us through Nick, our BFF who introduced us. ;)

Their wedding was set at Paradise Cove here in Lake Buena Vista, and with Your Fantasy Affair coordinating the wedding, Flourish Productions making their incredible mark on the day, and us capturing it.. Well.. It was pretty much perfect!

Emille.. You're gorgeous.

The groomsmen posing with their groomsmen gifts- Personalized baseball bats.

All the details made me a little weak at the knees. ;)

Emille and Nick had a photobooth which was a HUGE hit. I'm a sucker for the film-strip photobooths!

The best part of the day was when the groom dropped the ring! The moment was so quick, I'm just happy I happened to be positioned at the right place at the right time. ;)

Emille's dad gave an emotional toast.

Nick told Emille, "This cake smells funny," and then proceeded to smash her face with it. ;)

Some of the littler guests asked Emille and Nick to sign their Disney World autograph book. So cute!
S'more station? Yes, please!

The Leonard Brothers kept the dance floor PACKED.

Emille and Nick, congratulations and thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day! :)

Ashley & Jeremy : Wedding

I'm beyond happy that we were able to shoot Ashley and Jeremy's wedding last year. :) In a perfect "Small World" moment, it turns out that Jeremy went to my high school in Tennessee just a few years before me. :) Anyway, here are my favorites from their big day-

I fell in love with Ashley's elegant gown.
This was the view from her parents' suite at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. *Drool.*
First looks are best. Because Ashley and Jeremy had a night wedding, they saw each other before hand so we didn't loose out on photos! If you have a wedding coming up, think about doing a first look.. Seriously. It's the best gift you could give yourself on your wedding day!

I loved her bouquet. :)

I love this next series of Ashley and Jeremy looking at each other. :)

Favorite. :)

Ashley and Jeremy were married in the Animal Kingdom park, which was nothing short of amazing!
This was one of the best things I've seen in a wedding ceremony- The mothers of the bride and groom each gave them a bottle of wine. Ashley and Jeremy came with letters written for eachother, and the officiant had them put everything in this box and nail it shut. The idea is that you don't open the box until your 20th wedding anniversary. If things get tough before then, you open the box and the couple goes into separate rooms and reads the others letter while drinking a glass of wine. Wow. I think I did a terrible job at explaining it, but I loved it. :)

Pre-first dance dance. :)
By far one of the coolest reception venues ever.

We met up with the couple the next night and shot some fireworks lovin'.

Ashley and Jeremy, congratulations!

Happy Love Day!

Happy Valentine's Day, friends!

I was planning on not posting today, but then I randomly remembered that 4 years ago today, Nate and I brought Huck home. I always get bummed when people get all anti-Valentine's day, because I really do think it's a beautiful holiday. I think too many people take it for face value and get jaded by the fluffy teddy bears and pink hearts. I think it's more of a day to spread a little extra love to those in your life that you love!

It's totally fitting that we brought Huck home on Valentine's Day. We got him from a legit pet store (before I get any puppy mill rants!) when we were calling around for a Pomeranian. I remember looking in the little windows and not seeing any poms, but when we asked for him, we were told that he was brought in a couple days ago and the staff never put him down. :) Sure enough there he was, just a pound of fur. Looking back, he was pretty much the ugliest thing ever, but at the time I thought he was perfect. Isn't that the way things are with all babies? ;)

We played with him for a good 40 minutes or so... He was a perfect amount of playful with a perfect amount of calm, and when he fell asleep in my arms, I was sold. We adopted him and took him to the car, and as soon as that car door shut, he turned into this little monster; nipping at my fingers and toes, growling, biting the bottom of my jeans. I even think he peed... All within the first 5 minutes of the drive home! I know it's silly, but that made me love him even more in hindsight. He's a total spaz and we love him madly.

In short, happy Love Day to all of you out there in the blog world. Family and friends, we love you and are so happy to have you in our lives. If you don't have a girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife to spoil today, spread that love to your parents, kids, or just spoil your pet. That's what they're there for, anyway. :)

Marielys : Headshots!

Mari contacted us and wanted some headshots done for a CD she's releasing, and we were excited to shoot something new!

Mari is stunning and made the shoot a total breeze!

Totally my favorite. ;)

We were doing shots in the middle of the street downtown, and a car was coming. ;)

Another favorite. :)
Her husband Anthony stepped in for a few shots..

Miscommunication at its finest!

Can't wait to see the final product, Mari! :)

Carrie & Patrick : Walt Disney World

These next two posts are so old, I'm a little embarrassed to even post them! Our friends Carrie and Patrick came to visit Disney World last September and while hanging out, we did a little in-park shoot with them. On the way to the park, we ran into honeymooners Jennifer & Rob!

Going for a little spin on DUMBO the FLYING Elephant, aka, one of my pre-photography jobs. :)
I was excited. :)

Fooooooooooooood.
I love all the movement in this one!

Root love!

Carrie & Patrick : Disneyland

A week later, Nathan and I took a trip out to Disneyland and did a 2nd shoot with Carrie and Patrick. :)

Disneyland wins on so many levels, but seriously, their Teacups is amazing!

Hello!

I think New Orleans Square is my favorite part of the park, which is coincidentally, where Patrick proposed. :)

Favorite! :)

The end! We love you guys.. See you this fall! :):)

Preview Day!

I apologize for my lack of blogging as of late- Nathan and I have been taking turns being sick, and it looks like we're finally starting to get back to normal. Sheesh!

Here are some teaser pictures to show you just some of the couples we've been lucky enough to spend the last month with:

So, that's that. I hope this finds everyone well, and I'll be back before you know it. :)
